Building a Multi-Level Learning Situation

Block 2 Training DBE (FBD) Spring 2016

In this section of the workshop, participants were divided into small groups and asked to build simplified learning situations for the DBE courses using a video prompt called Teens and Technology. A simplified learning situation was created for the course ANG-4102-1 (Stories) as an example.  The purpose of this activity was to show teachers one way to implement learning situations in a multi-level setting.

Before creating their learning situations, the elements of a good learning situation  and a good task (see Presentation slides 16-19 and Bloom’s Taxonomy) were reviewed.  When creating their learning situations, participants were asked to focus on the end-of-course outcomes (from the ESL Program of Study) and the DED for their assigned course.

All learning situations created by participants are available in this Summary Document.
